Is a town and comune on the West coast of Lake Garda, in the province of Brescia, in the region of Lombardy, northern Italy. It is located about 40 kilometres from Brescia. On the Brescian shore of the Lago di Garda, it includes the two towns of Toscolano, an industrial center, and Maderno, a tourist resort, united into a single comune in 1928. The local economy has been based on the production of paper, and in the cultivation of lemons and olive trees. Today, thanks to the privileged mild climate, it has become a tourist destination for those interested in the many cultural, historical and sporting activities that take place in the town.
