This walk through Menaggio reveals a blend of lakeside elegance and historic character. Starting along Via S. Michele, the route soon reaches Parco Villa Comunale on Viale Rimembranza, a peaceful green space with trees, paths, and views toward Lake Como. This area offers a relaxing introduction to the town’s refined atmosphere. Continuing along Viale Rimembranza to Piazza Guglielmo Marconi, the walk reaches a central hub near the waterfront, often lively with visitors and lined with cafés. A short detour along Via Tre Segni provides a glimpse into quieter residential streets before returning to the square. Nearby, the Municipal Market Hall of Santa Chiara reflects local daily life and commerce. The route then moves through Via Sportello, Via Tripoli, and Via Santa Maria, gradually entering the older part of town. Here stands the Chiesa di Santa Maria Maggiore, an important historic landmark. Passing through Piazza del Tomolo and along Via Catena, the walk concludes at Porta Catena near Loggia Amblingh, capturing Menaggio’s historic charm and scenic beauty.

Beginning on Via Calvi, the route quickly leads into Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi, the lively heart of the town, where cafés and restaurants overlook the water and create a welcoming atmosphere. From here, the walk continues through Largo Cavour and along Viale Benedetto Castelli, a pleasant stretch that runs parallel to the lake, offering open views and a more tranquil pace. Retracing steps briefly, the route then turns inland via Via Mylius and Via Carlo Camozzi, where quieter residential streets reveal a more local side of Menaggio. A highlight is Parco Karol Wojtyla, a small green space ideal for a peaceful pause. Continuing along Via Annetta e Celestino Lusardi and Via al Lago, the path gradually returns toward the lakeshore. Re-joining Via Carlo Camozzi, the walk leads back to Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi and finally Via Calvi. Overall, the route offers a balanced mix of waterfront scenery, town life, and quieter corners, capturing Menaggio’s easygoing appeal.
